The Wine Festival 29th of August - 7th of September

The Wine Festival is organized during the first week of September, as Cyprus is the largest wine producing country, the festivity highlights the abundance of wine in the country. The Municipal Garden of Limassol is decked up for public view with all types of wines available, visitors are allowed to taste any wine of their choice, dance, and simply enjoy the festival as a whole.

Ancient Greek Drama Festival 4th of July - 2nd of August

Limassol celebrates the Ancient Greek Drama Festival as an important event during July and August each year, epic stories and adventurous deeds of Greek heroes are presented in a classic manner through tragedy and comedy shows, the dramas are staged in unique settings in three archaic theatres in Cyprus.

The Curium Drama Festival 1st of July - 31st of August

The Curium Drama Festival is quite similar to the Shakespeare’s festival where classical and modern plays are enacted to celebrate the Curium Amphitheatre stages. The festival is a month long annual event that begins from July and ends in August, the Curium Amphitheatre is a 2000 year old stage where various plays including Shakespeare’s plays were enacted.

The Village Festivals 1st - 31st of August

The Village Festivals are held after wine harvest during the month of August, September, and October, it is an occasion where people meet and exchange handicraft work. Various embroidered clothes are displayed along with agricultural products, silverware, and painting, villagers dance to folk tunes and enjoy their free time.

The Festival of Flood 4th of July - 2nd of August

The Festival of Flood is one of the major festivities in Limassol, this festival takes place 40 days after Easter where residents of Limassol as well as tourists play with water as a mark of respect for the Greek goddess of love, Aphrodite, taking a plunge in water and splashing around in it also symbolize cleansing ones soul.
