Limassol enjoys a naturally Mediterranean climate with extensive, hot and dry summers and gentle winters, separated by succinct autumn and spring seasons.

Sunshine is definite during the summer months and temperatures can ascend to uncomfortable levels, especially during July and August. Gentle sea breezes moderate the heat on the coast; however, inland, the temperature can climb to over 40°C. Cyprus can experience droughts, as the summers are usually wholly dry.

Autumn is a popular time to stay, as the days are hot and nights are rather cool. Many of the beaches are free of crowds and swimming is still possible. Similarly, spring is also a preferred time for holidaymakers, with temperatures starting to get humid around April. The nearby Troodos Mountains can be much colder, with snow showers during December and January.
